Dallas Burton cherished the people in his life. Known for his quick wit and love of practical jokes, he brought laughter and warmth wherever he went. He built deep, lasting bonds with both family and friends across the dairy industry and beyond.
Dallas was devoted to his mother, Eldora Mae (Sherffius) Burton, who lived to the age of 96. Until her passing in March 2015, he called her nearly every day and made regular trips from Abilene to Emporia to visit her.
He remained close with his siblings throughout his life:
Family gatherings were always filled with good humor, storytelling, and laughter.
Dallas shared over 20 wonderful years with his beloved wife, Linda. She often traveled with him and frequently clerked at his cattle sales. Together they enjoyed many memorable trips, including visits to Italy, Hawaii, the Bahamas, Alaska, and multiple Caribbean cruises.
He was incredibly proud of his children — Shawn and Kevin — and his step-children, Shawn and Shae, along with their families. Above all, Dallas was a loving grandfather to his six grandchildren, Kylie, Garrett, Hunter, Andrew, Maya and Maris.
